Timbabuild EWS Wood Stabilising Primer 300ml (For EHB60 & ERC10)

Timbabuild EWS Wood Stabilising Primer is a specially formulated two-part low viscosity, solvent-free resin primer designed to reinforce and strengthen deteriorated wood fibres through deep penetration into the wood. This stabiliser works as a foundational primer alongside the Epoxy Rapid Cure (ERC10) or Epoxy High Build (EHB60) systems to restore structural integrity to weakened timber surfaces.

After removing damaged, decayed and discoloured wood using a router or chisel, lightly sand the area to be treated to ensure excellent adhesion. Wood moisture content should not exceed 18% — verify with a moisture meter and allow damp timber to dry naturally or with a hot air gun before application.

Directions for use

Remove the right hand side white cap above the dispensing chamber. Squeeze until the chamber is full of liquid. Mix one chamber of base for every one chamber of activator to acheive the correct mix ratio.  

The two components are mixed into a separate container, and thoroughly agitated for one minute. The 2:1 mixing ratio should be strictly observed. EWS should be applied using a standard brush and left to cure for 20 minutes. The repair can then be applied when the EWS is wet or tacky. Use disposable paint brushes as cleaning is not possible after use. Repair resin can be applied after 20 minutes and up to 4 hours afterwards.
