Refund policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not, we offer a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date of purchasing your item(s) to request a return.

Eligibility for Returns:

  • You have 30 days from the date of purchase to initiate a return.
  • Items must be in the same condition that you received them, unworn or unused, with tags, and in their original packaging.
  • You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
  • Items must be returned in a secure manner to prevent damage during transit.
  • It is the customers responsibility to ensure return items are packaged securely.
  • Items must be returned to us within 14 days of us approving a return. Items returned after this time will not be eligible for exchange or refund.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items 

Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as mixed/tinted paints which are made to order and custom products such as special orders or personalized items. These Include:

  • All Tinted/Mixed colours from Crown Trade, Dulux Trade, Dulux Heritage, Macpherson, Armstead, Bedec, Zinsser, Benjamin Moore, Teknos, Sadolin, Sandtex and Sikkens.
  • All Coovar Floor Paint and Floor Primers, Acid Etch, Repair Mortar, 
  • All Wallpaper Orders (Unless Faulty).
  • Incorrect colours where the customer is at fault (e.g. the wrong colour is entered at time of purchase).

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items (unless faulty) or gift cards.

How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, you can contact us at sales@decoratingsuppliesonline.co.uk with your order number, details of the items to be returned, and the reason for your return.

Our team will review your request and if your return is eligible we’ll contact you to let you know. 

Customers must make their own arrangements for returning goods at their own cost. Please ensure that items are are securely packaged and insured against loss or damage before returning them to us. We cannot accept any responsibility for returned items that are lost or damaged upon arrival at our premises.

Please include a copy of your invoice and a letter explaining you would like a refund.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return cannot be accepted.

Return Packaging & Shipping

It is the customers responsibility to ensure that returned items are securely repackaged to prevent spillage or damage during transit. We strongly recommend using the original packaging for returns, and additional packaging if necessary.

Please Note: The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs, unless the return is due to our error (e.g. incorrect item shipped, damaged item).

Returning Items in Person

Items can be returned in person to our store address:

Damages and Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right as soon as possible.

  • If you receive a damaged item please contact us immediately.
  • We will arrange for a replacement or refund, and cover the return shipping costs.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refund Processing

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. 
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at sales@decoratingsuppliesonline.co.uk.

For security reasons we can only make refunds to the original payment method you used to place your order.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
