Wood Dyes
Wood dyes are liquid or powder-based colouring agents used to change the colour of the wood. Unlike wood stains, which only penetrate the surface of the wood, dyes penetrate deep into the wood fibres, allowing for a more vibrant and uniform colour. After applying a wood dye, it is often necessary to apply a topcoat such as varnish or lacquer, to protect the colour and the wood from damage. If you are looking for a more prominent wood grain in the appearance of wood, wood dye is probably the right finish for you.
