Sandtex Trade Quick Drying Stabilising Solution Clear (Water-Based)

Sandtex® Trade Quick Dry WB Stabilising Solution is a highly-penetrative, water-based stabiliser for use on most exterior masonry surfaces & exterior grade building boards. This colourless solution is easy to apply and requires just one coat, drying quickly to prime and stabilise chalking, weathered and porous surfaces.

When Should I Use Stabilising Solution?

Stabilising solution should be used on chalky or powdery surfaces such as previously painted, weathered masonry surfaces prior to application of masonry paints. They can also be used on surfaces with slightly loose and flaking paint once the worst of it has been removed, as well as on very porous surfaces such as breeze block and concrete walls.

For sound, bare render surfaces a thinned coat (mist coat) of masonry paint is usually sufficient to seal the surface and stabiliser is not needed. Always follow the paint manufacturers instructions.
