COOVAR DILUTABLE ACID ETCH FOR CONCRETE FLOORS 5L (WATER-BASED)

Coo-Var Acid Etch is a powerful water-based solution which chemically etches bare concrete and mortared floors and also removes salts and laitance from concrete and render. Should be used to prepare exceptionally smooth surfaces and power floated concrete floors where blasting and mechanical abrasion is not practical.

This product can be used on bare concrete prior to painting to ensure good adhesion is given between substrate and paint system.

Dilution guide.  Mix 1 part Coo-Var Acid Etch with 3 parts water, further applications may be necessary depending upon the severity of etch / cleaning required.

When the Acid Etch is applied it begins to react with the surface and will bubble as the reaction is carried out.  When the bubbling has stopped then the reaction is complete and the remaining neutralised acid should be washed away with fresh water.  Allow to dry completely before attempting to paint the surface.
